The Power of Survivorship

Honoring Strength, Resilience, and Every Step of the Cancer Journey

Winding road with trees and fog

June is National Cancer Survivors Month — a time to honor the strength, resilience, and courage of everyone impacted by cancer.

Did you know that the day you are diagnosed is the day you become a cancer survivor? Survivorship doesn’t begin when treatment ends—it begins at diagnosis and continues through treatment, recovery, remission, and beyond.

Every survivor’s journey is unique. For some, it means navigating appointments and treatments. For others, it means rebuilding strength, managing long-term side effects, or adjusting to a new normal. Along the way, there may be moments of hope, fear, gratitude, uncertainty, and courage.

This month, we recognize it all. We celebrate the milestones—both big and small—and honor the perseverance it takes to keep moving forward. Whether that means advocating for yourself, staying active when you can, resting when you need to, or simply showing up one day at a time, every step matters.

To those who are newly diagnosed, in active treatment, living in remission, or supporting a loved one through cancer: we celebrate you. Your strength inspires us. Your story matters. And you are part of a powerful community that understands the journey.

You are not alone. You are seen. And you are stronger than you know.
